Be Green and Have Green Grass this Summer

Green GrassYou want green grass, but you also want to reduce your water usage (and hey, it always helps to save on your water bill too).

Here are a few suggestions that can help you be green and have green grass too:

Water Early in the Morning
This reduces the amount of water that evaporates because the air is cooler and wind is calmer.

Don’t Water the Sidewalk
Water your lawn, not the street!

Avoid Runoff
Water that is running off into the street isn’t helping your lawn. If you notice water running off, turn the sprinkler off for 15-20 minutes until water sinks in and then restart them.

Water Different Areas With Different Amounts
Parts of your lawn that are shaded by trees require less water.
