So what exactly goes into a green home? A lot of people think about things like appliances, lighting fixtures or even countertops. But it all starts with a solid building envelope behind the walls. That includes sustainable framing techniques, air sealing and advanced insulation, properly sized HVAC and more. It also includes things on the outside such as siding, site planning and landscaping.
